The shopping centre is conveniently located at the corner of Willingdon Avenue and Lougheed Highway in north Burnaby. Just 3km east of Vancouver, Brentwood Town Centre is easily accessed by car from Highway 1. Shoppers can also travel to Brentwood Town Centre by bus and have covered passage to the shopping centre from the Brentwood Skytrain station.

History of Brentwood

Brentwood Mall opens as a partial open air strip centre and partial enclosed mall with Anchors: Eaton’s, Loblaw’s Supermarket and Zellers. |
| 1970 |
Brentwood encloses the open air strip centre, expands, and adds mores stores. |
| 1989 |
Brentwood re-opens after one year of extensive renovations; one full second level of stores, food court and a new two level Zellers are added. The second level features our famous Teflon Fabric Roof with white domes and peaks to mimic the North Shore Mountains. This semi-transparent roof gives the entire centre a bright, uplifting atmosphere (or ambiance). |
| 2000 |
Sears Canada replaces Eaton’s and
London Drugs is added to the expanded upper level. |
| 2007 |
Brentwood Town Centre renovates and expands the food court, adds a Children’s Play area, brand new state of the art high grade washrooms, lighting, new flooring and painting throughout the centre. Carpeted areas and soft seating have been added to two locations in the mall in order to provide guests with a comfortable space to enjoy a break while shopping. |

Brentwood Town Centre is purchased by Shape Properties Corp. and plans for revitalisation and redevelopment are in the works.
